Creating a culture of workplace safety begins with a well-trained workforce.
National Safety Council - Nebraska Chapter (NSCN) provides numerous safety and 
health training programs, certification programs, consultation, and other resources to prevent workplace injuries and fatalities. Our training and consulting staff provide years of experience and knowledge. We provide all NSC certificate programs plus we are an OSHA Training Institute host site for the Great Plains OSHA Education Center.
In 2023 the Council moved to a new location with a focused goal - enhance training to increase retention.
Studies show that training, coupled with hands-on practical application of the information, can increase retention levels by 70%+. With this knowledge, our team set-out to build a Learning Lab space that will facilitate Hands-on training for nearly all of our workplace safety training.
With the help of some generous donors providing equipment for our space, our Learning Lab is proving to be a success! We are able to complete hands-on training year-round in a comfortable atmosphere with a wide variety of training tools and equipment.
