Overview
The Principles of Occupational Safety and Health (POSH) course provides a strong foundation in workplace safety and health principles. It’s designed for professionals who are new to safety, taking on new safety responsibilities, or looking to strengthen their understanding of occupational safety and health practices.
POSH uses interactive technology, case studies, group discussions, and real-world activities to create an engaging learning experience. Throughout the course, participants work through safety challenges as employees of “Agrichemical,” a fictional company facing workplace safety issues. This approach helps connect safety concepts to situations you may encounter on the job.
Participants leave the course with a safety program gap analysis and action plans they can apply within their organization.
POSH is the only required course in the Advanced Safety Certificate (ASC) program.
