Fundamentals of Industrial Hygiene (FIH)

Overview

The Fundamentals of Industrial Hygiene (FIH) course introduces the principles and practices used to identify, evaluate, and control workplace health hazards. Participants learn the four key steps of an effective industrial hygiene program: anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control.

This course helps safety, health, and environmental professionals understand when to address hazards themselves and when to involve a qualified industrial hygienist. Participants leave with practical tools they can use to identify chemical, physical, ergonomic, and biological hazards in the workplace.

This course is part of the Advanced Safety Certificate (ASC) program.
