Overview
The Forklift Operator Training Re-evaluation course helps employers meet OSHA forklift training requirements by evaluating operator skills every three years. This re-evaluation is designed for forklift operators who have already completed formal training and need a documented performance evaluation.
A National Safety Council – Nebraska Chapter safety consultant/trainer will observe operators completing practical driving exercises at your facility. Each operator is evaluated on the equipment they use at work, providing a training solution tailored to your workplace.
Please note: This course is not a replacement for initial forklift operator training. Operators must complete formal forklift training before participating in a re-evaluation.
What You’ll Learn
During the re-evaluation, operators will demonstrate their ability to:
- Safely operate assigned forklift equipment
- Complete required driving and maneuvering exercises
- Apply proper forklift operating techniques
- Follow safe operating procedures specific to their equipment and work environment
Who Should Attend
This re-evaluation is designed for:
- Forklift operators who have already completed OSHA-required formal training
- Employers needing to complete required three-year forklift operator evaluations
