Course Description:

With the focus on OSHA’s Ergonomics Guidelines for Nursing Homes, participants learn to develop a process to protect workers in nursing homes. Emphasis is on the recognition of high-risk tasks, analysis and identification of ergonomic problems, and the formation of practical solutions to address these problems.

Course Includes:

  • Determining risk factors
  • Developing an ergonomics process
  • Identifying problem jobs
  • Protocols for resident assessment
  • Engineering and work practices that improve safety
