OSHA 3015 Excavation, Trenching, and Soil Mechanics

Course Description:

This course focuses on the severe hazards associated with excavation and trenching. It also covers the OSHA standards protecting employees who work in trenches and excavations. Students are introduced to the effects of soil mechanics on the stability of excavation walls and slopes. A half-day field exercise demonstrates use of penetrometers, torvane shears, and engineering rods.
