The Unit is equipped with safety gear for personal protection, decontamination, confinement, air monitoring, containment, confined space, and fall protection. The Unit provides realistic training experience. Courses can be designed for your company’s individual situation.

Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response (HAZWOPER)
This training is required for industries where the potential of accidental release of chemicals exists or hazardous waste operations are performed. This course satisfies the training requirements for HAZMAT technician, specialist, and incident commander and the 29 CFR 1910.120 training requirements for employees in emergency response, control, containment, and clean-up of hazardous materials/chemicals. OSHA requires refresher training annually.
Training provided using the NSCN Mobile Training Unit will be a combination of classroom and hands-on training. Students will be assessed based on their hands-on performance of work tasks.
Confined Space Emergency Planning and Response
Confined Space Emergency Planning and Response provides a basic understanding of requirements when things go wrong in confined spaces. Enhances training ensures workers are prepared to go the next step in an emergency situation. This training is a combination of classroom/ hands-on training and will discuss the importance of response time in a critical situation. The session will review the risks associated with emergencies, addressing capabilities and limitations with your organization, present offensive and defensive procedures, communications, commanding the incident response, and more.

Preparation for the leadership position, Incident Commander, during an incident takes special training and is required by OSA 29 CFR 1910.120 . This training course provides the necessary certification for directing, controlling and delegating resources and overall management of an incident. This training provides a thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and hands-on preparation
Having the right fall protection gear and being trained in its use are essential ingredients to having your team return home safely at the end of the day. Our training focuses on fall protection. Systems, stabilization, and providing the knowledge required to have a safer work environment. Students will be prepared to identify hazards, and to prevent workers from having fall-related incidents. Anyone exposed to fall hazards should attend. This training will be provided in classroom as well as using the NSCN Mobile Training Unit.
Respirator usage is key in protecting workers from airborne contaminates. In the classroom training students will learn respirator terminology, OSHA standards, medical evaluation of users, how to manage present hazards and how to maintain and monitor a respirator protection program. The hands-on training will include fit testing and proper usage of ½ masks, full masks or SCBA units.
