  • College students from the Metro Omaha area
  • Businesses and their employees
  • Businesses, employees and their families

Emphasis will be placed on message and concept and not on production. Have fun and be creative. Consider:  "How can you make a difference and change the behavior of others?"

Videos will be judged in two ways;  "judge's score" and by "social media score". A team of judges will include an independent committee of safety professionals and marketers. Social media score will be tracked using social media tracking software.  Each team will receive a score based on number of "likes", "shares", and other social media statistics. Contest qualifying social media platforms include Twitter, Youtube, Facebook and Instagram.

Important tracking: When using social media to promote your video, please include 2 hashtags:  #CIDRI2016 and "#YourChosenHashtagHERE" (as submitted on your application) so that your social media score can be tracked.  It is important that you share your hashtag and the #CIDRI2016 hashtag so that your posts can be found and tracked.

All submitted videos will be judged on the following criteria:

  • Message
  • Effectiveness and relevance
  • Content
  • Creativity
  • Social Media Score

Each video should be a TOTAL of 30 seconds long (5 seconds title screen and 25 seconds of video).

There should be 5 seconds of black at the beginning of the video with a "by title card".  Your by title card should include:  team name (hashtag), business or college, film title, and the words "Click It, Don't Risk It PSA Video Contest". Your video should follow thereafter, which would be 25 seconds.
