Your Life is Worth Living - Commit to Focusing on the Road

The statistics are overwhelming, distracted driving has become an epidemic and continues to claim lives across the country.  You don't have to be a statistic.  It is your choice - choose wisely.  Your life, and the lives of your friends and family are valuable.  Make the commitment to Focus on The Road.

  • In 2013, 3,154 people were killed and approximately 424,000 were injured in motor vehicle crashes involving distracted drivers across the US.
  • In Nebraska in 2014 there were 4,175 crashes and 13 deaths due to distracted driving.
  • More than 10% of all drivers under the age of 20 involved in a fatal crash reported that they were distracted at the time of the crash.
  • An estimated 1 in 4 car crashes involves cell phone use.
  • A quarter of teens respond to a text message once or more every time they drive. 20 percent of teens and 10 percent of parents admit that they have extended, multi-message text conversations while driving.

Don't be a statistic. Make the commitment to Focus on The Road.

Join us in sharing the message - "Life Is Worth Living" with your friends and family.  Tweet a picture of you that represents why your Life Is Worth Living (but never while driving). Get involved and spread the message.  Because Life Is Worth Living!
