Unintentional injuries are the most common cause of fatality for individuals ages one to 39 and the fifth overall cause of death.
To succeed in reducing these injuries and fatalities, the National Safety Council, Nebraska encourages individuals and organizations to engage themselves in education and programs for the prevention of unintentional injuries and the safety of others, individually or as groups. It takes everyone's efforts to promote safe living in our homes and communities.
Awards are presented at the 2016 Nebraska's Safest Companies Awards Luncheon. Wednesday May 25, 2016 11am - 2pm at the La Vista Convention Center.
Safe Community Champions awards are open to all those who are contributing their efforts in safety to the betterment of Nebraska. Nominations are made by members of the community and judged by NSCN staff, board and committee members. Recipients will be awarded a trophy and organization recognition at the breakfast, in the Midlands Business Journal Safety and Health Summit edition and on the National Safety Council, Nebraska website.
