Session information: The inability to speak English should not be an obstacle to providing quality and effective safety training to your Spanish speaking employees. This presentation will provide participants with an understanding of cultural differences that impact learning, techniques to overcome language barriers, and how to successfully apply adult learning principles to their safety training. The workshop will include small group activities and discussions to further reinforce the topics and help participants to create action plans for their own organizations.
After participating in this workshop, participants will have concrete ideas and practices they can implement immediately to provide more effective safety training to their Spanish speaking employees. This workshop is designed for the non-Spanish speaking safety professional.
