Occupational Safety & Health Award

Companies who qualify for awards recognition, have implemented an injury and illness prevention program, a safety committee, employee training and other safety initiatives designed for the unique needs of their organizations. Through their hard work, they have achieved incident rates and lost workday case rates the same as or better than their industry average. They have found through reduced injuries and illness, they have improved employee relations, improved the productivity and through savings increased the bottom line profitability of their organization.

A committee of 9 safety professionals from the business community review the entries and determine category of qualification. They spend a minimum of 30 - 40 hours each reviewing the individual applications and discussing the applicaitons as a group.
